Rant: most people don’t know what petite actually means

It’s really starting to grind my gears how often i see people ask for someone petite when they really mean skinny/fit/slim thick.

Petite means short. That’s it. It doesn’t mean anything else. Just short.

It sucks to see buy ads that ask for petite girls cause I have to ask myself if that means me. Cause technically it does but I’m more midsize/slightly curvy and responding to buy ads that actually want skinny/fit/slim thick girls can lead to frustration for the buyer. I would really rather avoid that.

I can also imagine a lot of tall girls who fit the buyers preference pass over buy ads asking for petite bc they have to assume the buyer wants a short girl. But idk im not a tall girl lol

Overall, the term “petite” feels unreliable in marketing bc u can never trust that a viewer/buyer actually knows what it means.
