College board Awards, do you need to apply?

Looking to trying to waive the fees of some of the colleges I am applying to and I see some offer waivers to those who have received "College Board National Recognition Program", "Rural and Small Town Recognition Award", or "School Recognition Award" Do you have to apply for this stuff or will college board automatically sort it out. I should have the one for AP tests and GPA for the national recognition program but i don't see it. Currently a Junior if that explains why I have not gotten any emails.
