Issue seeing inventory items

When I look at items in my inventory (on desktop, clicking w/ mouse) the examine window with details about them flashes for an instant before going back to my inventory/layout menu.

The same thing happens clicking on permanent additions, but the room directory opens as it should. The glitch happens in the glossary in the computer terminals as well.

Is this a known bug, and is there a fix?
