I don’t think this fan base is mature enough to speculate about rumored/unconfirmed characters

Let me know if I’m way off here.

By unconfirmed characters I mean Cain, Roo, Molly, etc. The characters we don’t actually hear anything about in the show (yet).

This fandom is very creative. In theory this is a great thing. Speculation, theories, head cannons, all that.

But we’ve also seen that this fandom can be incredibly immature when it comes to expectations. When something happens that people didn’t expect, and it doesn’t perfectly line up with what they wanted to happen, they throw a fit. Whether it be a literal mental breakdown or an enraged rant.

When something is revealed that contradicts what I thought would happen, I don’t cry, I don’t lose all interest in the show, I go, “Ooh, that’s interesting. I didn’t expect that”, and I move on.

It’s not that people’s expectations get too high (although that’s a separate problem), it’s that they get too specific. What ends up happening in the show obviously won’t exactly fit into what people theorized.

Being creative about what you think could happen should be great. But people are clearly setting themselves up for disappointment, just based on the past. These rumored characters are definitely going to be the biggest case of this. People are going to create a thousand head cannons and then freak out when they don’t match what happens.

Too many people here are immature. About this, and evidently many other things as well. I assume this has to do with a large portion of the fans (at least the vocal ones) being kids. Or adults that are mentally the same as kids.

Again, please let me know if I’m way off here. I don’t want people to get hurt by mass “heartbreak”.
