Landlord claiming Bill 60 in now force and I can't "renew" month-to-month

Question/Tenant

I am on a month-to-month lease (have been for several years) and today the landlord sent me this message:

"The passage of Bill 60 means that the month-to-month renewal is no longer an option for tenancy renewal. You can still renew the lease for twelve months at the amount quoted. We are willing to grant you an extension of one week to Sunday December 7, 2025, to decide what you wish to do If you decide to vacate the apartment we will require notice of your intention"

From what I understand, this part of Bill 60 was scrapped. Or did I miss something? I'm guessing they are trying to pressure me to sign a 12 month lease which I am not prepared to do.

This is the second note I've received about this, my reply to the first one was this:

"My lease is month-to-month indefinitely until I give notice as per the terms of the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA). Surely you are aware that you are not entitled to any other type of notice."

Advice on how to respond to this second note (and put an end to this once and for all) would be much appreciated.
