Which real-world pulp magazines/movie serials/other art do you think influenced the aesthetic of OW2?
The opening of the game reminded me strongly of:

The pulp-magazine collection quest has a bit of dialogue where the quest-giver talks about the literary merits of the art form. I think that is fourth-wall-breaking, but I don't object because I am absolutely a fan of pulp magazines.
I suspect some of the biggest magazine influences may have been:

While searching (mostly fruitlessly) for leads on what might have influenced the game, I noted a character with a spherical helmet who might have inspired the Spacer's Choice mascot:

So if anyone has solid leads on what pulp adventures influenced this game, please tell us all about them.
