Osmo Action 5 Pro New out of the box, lens peel warning.

Hey all. Just got a brand new action 5 pro from amazon. There was a warning on the lens peely thing that said tighten the lens cover before i submerge it in water. I took off the rubber protective thing to see the lens protector but it seemed like it was fastened all of the way (couldn't move it with my fingers, didn't want to take it off because i feel like dust under the lens protector would be annoying). Do i need to worry about tightening the lens protector with ultra strength to keep my water resistance rating? What about when i take it off, would i need to tighten it ultra super tight? I don't want to scuff up the outer ring with pliers or anything.
