This game is becoming too much to continue playing…
I (M27) am finding this game mentally & emotionally exhausting to continue playing.
I (M27) work for about 19 hours a day and when I come home I just want to be able to get on and blow off some steam killing robots. But it seems that everyone I encounter in this game just wants to PvP/betray me. I try making friends and try teaming up by not shooting people that I see… I don’t have a mic to use, so I macro’d the “Don’t Shoot!” emote to my mouse button 5 but it never seems to work and some kid (M13) proceeds to just mow me down anyways then proceeds to call me racial and homophobic slurs.
I (M27) think a simple fix would be if once you spawn into a raid and use the “Don’t Shoot!” emote it gives you a sort of invincibility to others players, where you can’t damage them and they can’t damage you. Then all those who bought this PvE game can actually enjoy and play the game as intended!
This game has really got me questioning the social values and morales of this community and I fear that as a society we are doomed if this kind of behavior continues and starts seeping into the real world. For now, until changes are implemented I unfortunately will be playing other games… Sorry, Embark… You’ve lost this highly valued customer (M27)…
TL;DR: I’m going to go put another 4k hours into Rust.
