Astro Boy. Is the 2009 movie a adaption of the original manga from the late 50’s?

I ask because I really loved the movie(2009) as a kid I loved Astro boy I was 7 years when I watched it for the first time(and still have fond memories of it over a decade later but haven’t watched it in that decade) . But the point of this post is, is it a adaption of the manga from the late 1950’s? If it is I’m definitely reading the manga here really soon and if so I thought “ Yu-Gi-Oh! DM” was my first exposure to manga/anime & Shonen but I think it was Astro Boy when I was a Young kid, I didn’t know it had a manga and was a One Hit Wonder Movie all these years till a couple months ago.
