Forgot to pay Ejari (as Landlord) and so did my tenant

The tenant is a very close friend of mine, he's been living in the house since 2020 with his family, no "rent increase and whatnot", we're both happy and content. I did pay at the registration of me being an "owner" on the Dubai Land but then completely forgot (and so did he)!

Is there a legal issue for me at this point or him? Do i pay a late fee (e.g. all the 5 years)? Any help would be immensely appreciated.
