Dashcam Recommendations

Hi, fellow owner's. I'm looking for dashcams for my Skoda Kylaq kindly drop in your recommendations for both Single and Dual channel. Also let me know can pillar opening and wiring be done on our own or do we need a professional for it? Does Skoda have any dashcam they sell as accesory? Also, I've heard we need to unplug it every time we turn off the car as the power socket keeps drawing power even when the car is off, is it true?
