For the people complaining about bad dialogue

Discussion

I feel like the people complaining about corny dialogue this season compared to previous seasons are the ones who haven't rewatched the show and don't remember the previous seasons much. I rewatched all seasons leading up to s5, and to me there's zero difference between the dialogue this season and in s4 and s3. This show has always had a lot of exposition, characters discussing plans in an unnatural way by finishing each other's sentences, and then steve explains the plan in a dumbed down version for the audience, characters making forced jokes in moments of tension (remember Murray doing that stupid song last season while him and joyce were on a plane about to lose their lives?).

These are all writing tropes that have been being used since s2. The only season where the dialogue was great was s1 when all the people acted like real people and the show was more grounded. S2 was slightly worse, and S3 onwards the show has decided to become more campy and blockbuster-esque. I personally don't mind the bad dialogue in s5 because the show doesn't try to be anything else and the plot is entertaining
