Can I lose calf muscle on estrogen?

Hii, my calves are one of my biggest insecurities as they have some muscle on them that I would love to go away. I have a friend on estrogen and she said she lost alot of muscle in a couple months on estrogen so I'm wondering if this is a common thing.
