is there a way to get points posted faster?

I want to take advantage of the Apple redemption special to buy myself a new gadget. The redemption special ends on 12/7, and I'm about 40k points short. My question is, can I buy stuff and pay off my credit card off to get the points before 12/7? I'm not looking to churn or anything here...
