Must A Christian Read The Bible

Let’s consider what Jeremiah the prophet wrote.

Jeremiah 9:23-24 KJVS Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:

[24] But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

Knowledge is power and a Christian’s duty is to increase in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, giving all diligence, let’s add to our faith knowledge for if it be in us and abound, we’ll neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and won’t have forgotten we are purged from our old sins.

Let’s give diligence to make our calling and election sure through bible intake: reading, studying, meditating, and memorizing scripture. If we do, then we’ll never fall and an entrance shall be ministered unto us abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let’s stay in remembrance of this and keep daily biblical devotion along with the practice of spiritual disciplines such as fasting.
