Are adolescent and adult wards different?

Question

Hi. I’ve been thinking of admitting myself again lately, but I’m 18 now. I’ve been inpatient 4 times already so I know how the adolescent wards are, but are the adults ones any different? I kinda don’t wanna be around like older people, so maybe they have different wards for young adults? I’m not sure. I don’t wanna go if I’m around like 30 year olds or if the adults have less rights etc. (I also have food difficulties that I’ve had sooo much trouble with at hospitals because they can’t seem to wrap their heads around “I physically cannot eat this food because of my issues so I’m not gonna eat because I can’t” and then think I’m purposely starving myself) I don’t know anymore. I feel it may be necessary because I genuinely don’t feel safe alone but I don’t want to go if I won’t be safe there either. Any help is appreciated, thank you in advance
