Don't Lose Your Head
No matter what happens tomorrow do not lose your head.
Matter of fact is, we will be playing a team tomorrow that has been champions for three years, had a more or less consistent squad over this term (incredibly consistent by Turkish standards) and learned how to win through lessons. We have not done that yet, not with this team. We kept overhauling every year thanks to Ali Koç. So the team we have, are building relationships and learning to win together and learning to overcome adversity with every game is still a new team.
We are doing many things right that nullifies some strong points for them, we relatively are resilient on set-pieces, we finish our attacks so their transition chances will be limited. Back post crosses and high turnovers are going to be most of our problems but whatever the result is we have a team that knows what they want to play and how we should play that game. Every game we see a longer period of the game played on our terms, if there is going to be an exception this game is that one.
Whatever the result is we do not need to lose our heads, just four weeks ago everyone thought league was done. Championship races are hard and they are never a sprint. If we win this is not done, if we lose it is not done. We will run this race with them to the last point, there is still so much to happen between now and then.
