Found out I'm Celiacs at 7w pregnant TW:Loss
Not really looking for advice, but just want to get it off my chest.
A couple weeks ago I found out I have celiacs disease. The only reason why I found out was because I had a MMC around 10w in the spring and my husband and I have been on the hunt to figure out why (I know that lots of pregnancies end in miscarriage, but we knew I was low iron and vitamin D, and just felt like something was off). Someone, not my PCP, asked a few weeks ago if I'd ever been tested for celiacs.
Now I'm pregnant again, 9w today, and not only with everything you have to try to be safe about with pregnancy in general, now I am having to completely cut out gluten to the nth degree and pray that my antibody levels decrease fast enough that the pregnancy survives the placenta taking over. In normal cases, when you find out you have Celiacs, you're supposed to be GF for at least 6 months before even trying to get pregnant.
I'm very happy I'm pregnant, but I feel like I'm carrying Schrödinger's baby, slowly being poisoned by my body, and we won't know if it's alive or not until my next scan (and the next one, and the next one). So far it's healthy, growing with a heartbeat, and I'm doing the best I can with the medical advice I have received, but it's all just a bit overwhelming.
