Facts concerning the New CEO of IC

The new CEO of Instacart is Chris Rogers, who officially took on the role on August 15, 2025.

He replaced Fidji Simo, who transitioned to a new role as the head of applications at OpenAI but remains as Chair of the Board at Instacart.

Rogers will earn a base salary of $1.37 million per year, higher than the Simo's pay of $1 million a year, which was raised from $500,000 in April 2024. Rogers will be also be granted restricted stock units totaling $15 million that will vest in three-month increments.

Rogers was previously the Managing Director for Apple Canada and has served in various roles at Instacart, including Chief Business Officer.
