Updating OS versions to LTS from rolling

installation

I made the choice to go with the latest 25.04 interim release of Ubuntu and feel like I might have made a mistake since when 25.10 was released Ubuntu prompted to upgrade and there were several issues that it suggested I’d need to remove packages or something to upgrade and so I just haven’t… but I will want to eventually. Would it work to just wait until 26.04 LTS releases and then upgrade directly? Of course I have nightly image backups with several versions so if an upgrade fails I can go back, but if I need to upgrade incrementally then I’d rather do that over time than all at once.
