Where is Barcus?

This is my 3rd playthrough.

Apparently I made the mistake of going to the grymforge before going to the blighted village (or any area close to the village).

Barcus wasn’t at the grymforge with the other gnomes. Obviously, since he goes there after being saved from the windmill if I remember correctly(?) Now i went to the blighted village and he isn’t at the windmill. Probably because I went to the grymforge first(?)

He’s probably dead, right? Where can I find his body? Or where else can he be, if he’s still alive?

My poor Barcus…
