I can’t breastfeed my baby and it’s destroying me

I have a 10 day old baby and I can’t breastfeed her - she either won’t latch or she will latch, suck 3-4 times then fall asleep. Her latch is also excruciatingly painful. She was losing too much weight so we had to supplement with formula, which turned into solely formula. I’ve been desperately pumping 7 times every 24hrd and only manage to produce 5-10ml milk per pumping session, so maybe one bottle of breast milk every 1.5 days. It is absolutely destroying me that I can’t do this for my baby. I can’t stop crying and feeling like I’m letting my baby down in this most fundamental way. Did anyone start out like this and manage to breastfeed in the end?
