Need help editing piercings out of photos

Long story short I am hiding my septum from my family. I had a lot of fun this weekend with friends and did think about flipping my septum up for pictures, but ultimately decided not to because I want to be able to look back at them with my septum. I want to make an instagram post but my family follows me. I tried editing it out of a few pictures with just the iPhone photo editing system and it does not look good. Does anyone have any experience editing piercings out of their photos? And if so, can someone help me? I figured this would be better than an editing sub because you all probably have more experience editing specifically piercings. I know we’re sneaky sometimes.
