Seeking guidance: Neighbor with distressing emotional issues/ noise - breaking lease?

Hi all- new to NYC and seeking guidance on a tough situation. We moved into an UWS brownstone on 10/1. Since then, most days we can hear unbearable screaming, wailing, and cries for help from the unit we share a wall with in the brownstone next door (different landlord). Out of concern we have called police, mental health support, and 311 multiple times. Sadly it seems this person is dealing with severe MH issues but is declining support.

We have reached out to our landlord multiple times without response, but doubt they could do much. We are obviously concerned about this person but we feel we cannot go on living like this. Has anyone else broken a lease in a similar situation and how did it go? We're open to getting a lawyer but just starting to explore our options.
