Girl guides

Hi so i just finished my psle and my results qualify to go to rgs. I wanna join the girl guides cca. I know this sounds silly but i read a girl guides document online abt what they do, attire etc. It said girls with long hair must tie their hair in plaits or a bun. But then i scrolled through images and saw a few people with their long hair in a ponytail/ pigtails. To rgs girl guides/ any girl guides: Is the hair rule strict? Is it enforced only at formal events?? Cuz in most of the photos, their hair was in in plaits or buns
