Dating trans people made me feel more comfortable in my assigned gender
For context, I'm non-binary/genderfluid. I'm on HRT, but my gender expression goes back and forth and my dysphoria seems to come in waves.
For some reason, I've noticed that whenever I dated a trans woman or enby, I felt the most comfortable in my assigned gender. In fact, I would lean into it and start presenting more and more traditionally masc. And whichever girl or enby I was seeing would be into it and tell me that my masculinity made them feel more feminine. I think that's the only time I've experienced gender euphoria from my birth gender.
And, for some reason, this just isn't the case with cis women. Even if they tell me I make them feel feminine and go on about how manly I am, it just doesn't have the same effect. If anything, it brings up feelings of dysphoria again. And what little experience I've has of cis men made me feel more feminine.
I don't know why I've felt this way. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know why I would feel this way?
