Visited graves over the holiday, then saw a butterfly circling.

General ✨

My dad took me to see the graves of both my grandpas who have passed. My paternal grandpa passed when I was in high school. Maternal grandpa lived with us and died in the hospital in 2018. I was closer with my maternal grandpa not just cause he lived with us, but cause my Dad's side of the family is marred with generational trauma. Especially addiction, so my Dad's father was a severe alcoholic. We kids only got to see him like three times.

Anyway, I really wanted to visit my maternal grandpa's grave after not seeing it since 2020. My sister had visited the grave a month before to ask him for help with getting better pay at her job. A few weeks later, she got promoted to a managerial position and has an actual salary. My current job has turned shitty and it's really stressing me out. I touched my grandpa's headstone and asked him in my mind if he can help me get a better position. I really want to work in a library or higher education. I also told him "I hope you know I got a master's, Papa." There was also a very cute, very tiny green worm crawling on the stone!

When we got home, my dad started the fire for a barbecue. That's when I noticed a red admiral butterfly circling around the same area of the backyard. It circled like four or five times and landed in the same three spots frequently. It even briefly landed on my mom's shoulder before flying quickly. Just wanted to share this because I hear often that butterflies are a good sign. Red admirals are one of the common butterflies in my part of Texas. However, I had never seen one circle an area or land in the same spots like it did.
