2012 BMW 528i washer nozzle question

I got this car recently and I'm guessing the first time I used the windshield washer it popped off the headlight washer nozzle cover off the bumper. I ordered a replacement for it and looked up some videos on how to install them, looked easy enough although I didn't find my exact car I saw one for a 3 series and an M series and figured it looked simple enough.

The nozzle cover has arms that would go into the bumper and what looks like two holes that I'd use to secure it to the nozzle that pops out however my nozzle doesn't have any tabs to fix the cover onto... Anyone encounter this?

The nozzle is just a straight tube with two bumps on the side but they're nowhere near wide enough to fit onto the cover I ordered. I checked the part number, it should be the correct one and it fits over the hole exactly as it should. Is there some trick I'm missing? Anyone got a link to a video or site to fix this?
