Jersey being labeled as a "pygmy" thing is exemplified by the comparison of capos

Jersey capos:

Tony - Replaced by Paulie (and Chrissy temporarily? Not sure) Junior Larry Barese - replaced by Albert Jimmy Altieri- replaced by Carlo Ray Curto Jackie - Replaced by Richie, Gigi, Ralphie, Vito

New York capos:

Doc Santoro Rusty Milio Jimmy Petrile Phil Leotardo Butchie Little Carmine Jerry Basile (only in 1 ep)

The thing I want to point out is that the New York capos are mostly old farts. These guys must have decades of experience doing mob shit and as such are best suited for the job amongst other old heads

Jersey, on the other hand, seems to be made up of just the best of what was available. Junior and Raymond are the old guys, but in my opinion they don't really give off that level of prestige that the other guys do. While the new york capos are the longest tenured and most experienced amongst other members who probably have great resumes, junior and ray just seem like two old guys who happen to be the only ones standing from a past generation.

The other capos of Jersey are comparatively younger than the new york capos, and while this doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't qualified, it does show that they have less experience than the new york capos. Place Jimmy Altieri amongst the new yotk capos- still think he gets in a position greater than soldier?

Speaking of Jimmy, he gets replaced by Carlo, which means that Jimmy was at some point considered more fit to be capo then Carlo. If younger guys are being considered more fit for capo than the older guys, how bad must those older guys be?

Also the new york guys are constantly in formal wear while Jersey guys want to be buried in their jogging outfit.

That's it. Enjoy this post I wrote on the toilet while at work
