Waiting time in ENT department across Greater Manchester?
A while ago I wrote a post in a NHS sub about my experience with a bleeding ear and how I went to A&E, and had quite a negative reaction. I did go to the GP eventually and he confirmed I have a ruptured eardrum, and it will heal by itself. The problem is nothing has changed. I still partially can't hear. The high frequencies are distorted (high pitched). Working in the office is an absolute pain. I will ask the GP for an ENT appointment, but I want to be realistic with my expectations.
Is something like this considered an emergency, if the eardrum won't close by itself, or would I go into a standard waiting list with the deviated septums (potentially 2 years)?
Has anyone had a ruptured eardrum? What was your experience like?
