What do you wish you had done for your 1st self-publishing experience?

This will be my first self-published novel. Not my first novel. I work in advertising and could run campaigns/social media for the book. But would love to hear y'all's dos and don'ts to make this a successful release.

My only real goal is to get 10 purchases from strangers, not friends and family.
