Question about Conan the Barbarian Trademark and usage

Hello community I became a huge fan of the Conan universe, especially due to the games of Funcom (Age of Conan + Conan Exiles). I watched all the movies that are available and getting my first Comic collection book for Christmas. I also listened to the audio books when i went to sleep but i couldn't make it past the first few lines probably because i always fall asleep.

Anyway i wonder, is this trademark free to use? Can i just make a video-game or use elements of the world of Conan for free without getting any problems with Trademark ownership? I wish to create worlds similar to Conan, not 1-1 but taking a lot of inspiration from it. But even if i use things specifically existing in the universe like let's say Stygia, is this allowed?

I looked into a Trademark database and it's saying 23.11.2000 Cancellation due to non-Extension and before it was owned by Stan Lee Media Inc. and then Conan Properties Inc.? I've read somewhere else that Funcom bought the trademark? I'm confused and i have no clue about those things.
