29 [M4F] #Germany #Online - Looking for friends
Hi o/
I'm a 29 years old guy from Germany, and I'm looking to find new friends. I'm single, independent (I've got a stable job, no debt, and live alone in my own apartment), and I'd love to find someone to share hobbies and adventures with.
I work as a software engineer for a video streaming platform. I really enjoy my job and take it seriously and care about my craft while I'm at the job, but I'm definitely the "work to live" type of guy. I spend my eight hours doing it and then I'm done. I'd much rather spend my free time on my many other interests.
I'm a huge geek about:
- Stationery: Fountain pens, new inks, different kinds of paper, notebooks... I love it all. I'm also an avid (bullet) journaler and I regularly write handwritten letters for my family and friends (and maybe you as well in the future?)
- Chinese Language & Culture: I spent two years living in Taiwan studying Mandarin at a language center, so I speak German (native), English, and Mandarin
- Gaming & Media: My all-time favorite video game is Monster Hunter and I could nerd out about it all day. I'm also big into anime and manga (Monogatari Series, Steins;Gate, Nichijou, etc.)
- Music: I listen to a ton of K-Pop, electronic music, vocaloid, and hip-hop. Some of my favorite artists are Joji, deadmau5, Yungmon, Koven, TJ_beastboy, Navy Westghost, Logic, Jay Chou, Rich Brian, DECO*27, Black Pink, TWICE, Red Velvet, aespa, NMIXX, ILLIT, NewJeans)
- Fitness: I have a home gym where I do calisthenics 3 times a week
- The rest: I also enjoy playing darts and I'm a bit of a collector of Kuromi (my favorite Sanrio character).
Outside of my geeky hobbies, I'm a massive foodie. I love trying new restaurants and dishes, and there's nothing I wouldn't try at least once. That's how I discovered I love things like chicken hearts and duck blood cake! I also really enjoy cafe hopping, either to chat with someone or just to find a cozy spot to journal or read by myself.
What I am looking for:
I'm here to make some new friends. I'd love to find someone I can connect with, geek out about our hobbies, try new foods, or just hang out.
Location-wise, someone in Germany or nearby would be amazing. However, I'm not at all opposed to starting things online. If you're further away, don't let that stop you from reaching out! I'm definitely open to chatting, and just spending time together virtually.
If any of this sounds interesting to you, send me a message! Tell me a bit about yourself and maybe what your favorite... pen, game, or dish is?
