Spirit guides

I’m working on having a more involved relationship with my spirit guides and I’m doing something wrong. Can I ask for advice about how I should go on about this? I pulled 3 cards that I felt drawn to and it was the chariot, reverse 3 of swords, and reverse the empress. The empress is the card that best represents my spirit guide. I feel like this was telling me that I’m insulting her and harming our relationship. Then I pulled reverse the tower, two of pentacles, and the hierophant. I asked what do you think of me and I got the emperor, reverse 7 of swords, and page of wands. I took the 7 of swords again to mean that I was being rude and deceitful. Then I asked what do you think of our relationship and I got reverse 2 of wands, reverse two of cups, and 2 of swords. I know I need more initiative to fully fix this problem but I’m giving offerings, I’m changing my mental narrative around my life and I really feel like I’m making a choice to step into my new world but these readings show I’m missing something or I’m being ungrateful to her in the process. I’m just not sure how to go about this and I know I need to change something but I don’t understand what.
