Leftist friend living in Toronto struggling to find partner

I've got a friend in Toronto Canada that is struggling to find meaningful relationships with other leftist that also make close to/around $100k. She's a Librarian at a University that has been able to work her way up through the salary scale and would like to settle down with a leftist who also earns roughly around the same. Mainly to avoid a power imbalance but also, the rising cost of living in Toronto (where she works) makes it difficult to live comfortably. If they're high earning, they tend to be liberal/conservative. If they're leftist, they tend to be struggling with low wage jobs. Is this an unreasonable expectation? Are there other high earning leftists in Toronto struggling with this reality? Anyone with personal successes? Thanks in advance and sorry of this is not appropriate for this sub.
