Pursue nursing, or programming?

I'm 19, currently work a crappy job and I need something to be proud of so I want to go to school and pursue on of these career paths. I know nursing is more steady and reliable of a career but I've always loved programming and I was pretty good at it growing up usually being ahead of most people my age in any class I attended.

Also, I really want to eventually work my way up into a WFH job for programming. Literally a dream job if I could ever get it.

And would community college, then switching to a 4 year school for my bachelor's be bad on a resume as I've heard it's really competitive to land any programming job.

Thanks!
