Reigniting date with my ex

I am 26M and my ex is 25F. She was my 2nd serious gf and I was her first. We were very much in love when we were first going out back in 2021. We started dating in Nov 2021, and had been chatting since the past few weeks. It was great, we were vwry sexually compatible as well.

I had to move abroad after a few months in Feb 2022 and we tried long diatance for a few months but it didnt work out. We were chatting even after breaking up which made things worst after I learnt that she hooked up with someone after we broke up. We were still chatting regularly at that point of time.

We have both dated other people since then. We were always in contact even after evrything. She has dated 3 people after that and I have dated 1 girl seriously and hooked up with other girls. This time around when I visited my home city I followed her on insta and she texted me.

We both feel really strongly for eachother and are very attracted to eachother as well. Today I went out with her just to see and meet her. She is on the verge of breaking up with her current bf. I am not sure what does that even mean for us. I feel like am being used to make her bf jealous or just as a side piece if things go sour with him.

I have never felt so strongly about any other girl in my life. A part of me wants to be with her but its just not possible since we live too far apart. I would love to spend my life with her (i dream of it) but I am not sure about her or myself. Being with her for a moment makes my life and heart feel like spring that could last for a decade. Am I being naive/ a simp? Could use some advise on this matter.

My friends think that I am being stupid, even her friends and family thinks that being with me is the wrong decision. What should I do?
