Hated Mario 64,sunshine and galaxy… play galaxy 2?

I wanna start by saying, Odyssey and Yoshis Island in particular, are two of my fav games of all time. after falling in love with Odyssey and playing around 250 hours, I thought I’d finally give the trio of 64/sunshine/galaxy some time. This was about 4 years ago, and since, I’ve attempted to try these games on 3-4 occasions a piece. I hate them. Galaxy the least, but I still can’t stand it. Is something wrong with my brain here? I find the platforming to be utterly tedious and overly particular. I grew up on games like Spyro and Gex, but somehow the platforming in these games just does NOT click for me. Re attempting portions of the game on repeat kills the joy for me almost immediately when the controls themselves are so painful. Camera- camera is fine in 64- horrendous in the other 2 Swimming - dear lord. Just delete it all. Jump/ height issues Why is Mario’s movement scheme so obnoxious in all these games? Mario odysseys controls never fealt so sticky, or so held back as these entries Also for note: beat around 30-40 levels of galaxy, got maybe 10 hours into sunshine, and only got to level 2 of 64. Couldn’t bare anymore

With all this being said, would I even enjoy Galaxy 2, or do I have to keep waiting for Odyssey 2 if I wanna play a Mario platformer I’ll enjoy? 💀
