Monash or unimelb?
Hey everyone! I’m planning to study either Master of Biomedical Science in unimelb or masters of biomedical and health sciences in Monash (July intake). The course structure looks pretty similar at both unis, but Monash has a mandatory internship component and I’m not sure if that’s a major advantage or just extra pressure. I already have an offer from Monash and my agent said I have a high chance of getting into UniMelb too so I’m waiting for that offer. My long term goal is to move into an industry role after the two years so I’m trying to figure out which uni would actually support that path better. And currently I’m kind of leaning towards Monash right now. For anyone currently studying or who has studied at either uni, I’d love to know how heavy the workload is, what the social life and student community are like and the general pros and cons of Monash vs UniMelb in terms of academics, campus life, networking, industry connections, and career outcomes.
