Stuck on the absol battle because I can’t mega

Whenever I try to mega, the joystick just doesn’t work. I might have to get a new one, but I can’t to that anytime soon and I’d still like to play the game normally, is there anything I can do to fix it? Everything else works perfectly in the right jockstick, but nothing happens when I press it.
