Crush on coworker

I (28F) have a crush on a coworker (26M), even though we’ve never spoken. I work in a large company (around 2000 people), and the first time I saw him was in the cafeteria almost two years ago. He immediately caught my attention. We work in different departments, so we don’t interact, but I still run into him often, cafeteria, elevator, stairs, even the grocery store near the office.

He usually looks at me for around 5–10 seconds when we cross paths, so I’m pretty sure he recognizes me too, I mean my face. I found his socials/LinkedIn (yes, through some deep online stalking), and he seems like a genuinely good person, handsome, neat, extroverted, and we seem to share similar values. It feels like we’d be compatible, but we’ve never exchanged a single word.

The problem is I’m too shy to approach him, and I don’t want to come off as intrusive or like I’m forcing interaction. He feels slightly out of my league, and I have no natural work reason to start a conversation. This whole situation has started affecting me because I think about him constantly to the point where I struggle to fully date or connect with other people. It feels unhealthy, but I can’t seem to shake it.

I need advice. should I take the risk and try initiating something small (maybe online) or is it better to work on letting go and moving forward? How do I handle this in a healthy and grounded way? Note: He always has his coworkers around him so approaching him in the building isn’t an option. I don’t want to embarrass him or myself.
