Byler isn’t an attack on vulnerable male friendships

discussion

I so often see anti bylers say that two boys in media can’t be friends anymore. That we should normalize two guys being vulnerable and close with each other without making it romantic. And I generally agree, but it doesn’t apply to Byler’s situation.

Byler isn’t a ship just because of their cute vulnerable moments tg, there’s genuine signs they experience on their own that point to it. The fact that Will is actually in love with Mike kinda goes against the argument alone.

Plus, we’re already shown multiple vulnerable male friendships throughout the show, and no one is genuinely shipping those.

(not gonna bother listing the amounts of subtext pointing to Mike being bi/gay, ur on this sub, u probably know).
