Missing a dose side effects week later

On the last 4 months ive been on 75 mg xr effexor, 6 days ago ive missed a dose had a bit of nausea and nightmares but it passed pretty quickly, few days later ive started having those pretty heavy depression waves locking me to the bed. Anyone ever experienced such thing?
