Suggestions for wound healing supplements

F38, type 2 diabetes (well controlled, a1c is 5.6 and has been for more than a year), non smoker/no drug or alcohol usage. I take meds for OCD, arthritis, and ADHD.

I have an idiopathic wound that will not close.

History: I’ve had the wound for almost two years. I saw wound care once at the beginning who just recommended to keep it covered (which didn’t help). It never closed. The months following that my dietician recommended Juven and lots more protein. I went through two rounds of Juven and 2-3 protein shakes a day and each time the wound would close from the top (lots of extra skin granulation) and then reopen a week later. I saw several other doctors who did biopsies, cultures, and testing for inflammatory conditions which were all negative.

Currently: I’m seeing a new dermatologist who cut out the wound and sealed it with stitches. The stitches ripped within a day due to the location of the wound and the doctor and I elected not to restitch it because the stitches would likely be unable to withstand the natural movement of my leg/thigh area. Instead the wound has been covered with a hydrocolloid bandage that is changed every 2ish days. A week ago we incorporated a wound healing cream which doesn’t seem to do anything. Now, three weeks after the surgery the wound has healed up to the surface but is not getting smaller. No one knows why.

I’m planning on upping my protein by at least 60gs a day and the doctor said a wound healing supplement wouldn’t hurt.

Looking between all I’m trying to decide between Juven (powder) and Zen Nutrients Woundvite (pill) but honestly I’m not sure how legit Woundvite is. Any other recommendations would be so appreciated.
