parking tips for wenatchee wild vs. swift current broncos at town toyota center (wenatchee 12/02)
hey guys, figured i'd share some parking tips for the wild game on sunday, 12/02. parking for hockey at town toyota center is honestly pretty chill compared to big city venues, but there's a serious bottleneck you need to watch out for, especially after the game.
first thing, if you want to skip the main lot chaos entirely and get a guaranteed, easy-out spot, check out Prked. it's an app where people rent out their driveways or garages right next to the arena. it's usually way cheaper than whatever random lot pop-ups charge, you can pre-book it, and you get to walk right past the traffic mess when everyone else is trying to leave . it's the move if you value convenience.
for everyone else, the official parking situation is surprisingly good: it's free. there's a main lot right by the center which is first-come, first-served . if that main lot is full, they open up more free parking on the gravel lots across the street . the key is getting there early-ish, like by 5:15 pm or 5:30 pm for the 6:00 pm start, to snag one of those closer free spaces. you'll see signs for vip parking too, but those front-row spots need a pass .
if the main lots fill up, the official overflow is also free at the public utilities district lot over at walla walla point park . it’s a bit of a longer walk but a good safe backup.
super important tip for problem avoidance: avoid parking at lowe's nearby- the venue explicitly says not to use that lot . also, the biggest headache for this arena is the rail line that cuts off the area from the rest of town . sometimes a train will park right across the line after the game, and everyone ends up stuck searching for a rail underpass to get out . if you park in the lots closest to the building, you're more likely to be in the thick of the post-game train delay. parking a little further out at walla walla point park might actually let you bypass that gridlock entirely.
get there early for a close, free spot, or book a guaranteed spot on Prked. lock your doors, don't leave stuff out, but honestly wenatchee is pretty safe in that area . hope this helps! go wild!
