A few questions about having medications in Germany through TK insurance doctor appointments.
Hello.
I have been to two doctors till now and I have questions about the medications because so far I've found it a bit confusing.
The first doctor was a family doctor, he referred me to a pharmacy, I gave them my TK card and they gave me the medicine which was pain killer Ibuprofen 600, it costed 5 Euros.
The second doctor was a dermatologist that I was referred to by the family doctor, he also referred me to apotheke and I gave them the card, they gave me a cream also for 5 euros.
I have no idea what the person in the apotheke is looking at at their system and I'm not sure whether it would be possible that if I want that medication again can I get it? If I run out and still need more? Or would I need to go through the whole process again starting from doc appointment.
I'm also not sure about the 5 euros, are these medications more expensive than 5 euros and the TK insurance made them only 5? or are they not included in the insurance to begin with?
I've also found reimbursement option in the TK app, but they're asking for prescription signed by the doctor and there were no medication written on paper, it's all in the TK card, so how can I upload a prescription if there weren't any?
Of course 5 euros isn't much, I'm just trying to understand how the system works.
Last question: I was also referred to do an MRI and after I finished, the lady told me the MRI will be sent to the doctor himself....so how can I know whether it was sent to the doctor or not? and how can I also access that MRI to use it for future appointments or with other doctors?
