Were my endoscopy biopsy results for H.Pylori accurate or should I get a second opinion?

Hey all.

I had an endoscopy done Friday due to increased heartburn. I wasn’t told to stop any medication but the last time I took a PPI (Omeprazole) was 5 days before, so I was off them for a total of 5 days before my biopsy was done.

Results showed, “mild non erosive gastritis” They took a biopsy to check for HPylori. This was negative.

Everything I’ve read online said I needed to be off Omeprazole for 2 weeks for an accurate Biopsy result, is that right?

What do you think I should do? I was given treatment of 6 weeks of Omeprazole
