Dan Morgan really knocked it out of the park this year
The 2025 draft is looking like the best Panthers draft in years (not that it's hard to top those Fitterer drafts).
Round 1 (8th overall): Tetairoa McMillan, WR (Starter, 7th in league in receiving yards, leading Offensive Rookie of the Year odds currently)
Round 2 (51st overall): Nic Scourton, EDGE (starting at LB, over 30 tackles, 3 sacks. Getting better every week)
Round 3 (77th overall): Princely Umanmielen, EDGE (Solid depth player so far, a couple sacks and some tackles)
Round 4 (114th overall): Trevor Etienne, RB (Solid return man, hard to say how good he will be at RB since we have two top tier RBs at #1 and #2 on the depth chart and he just hasn’t had the opportunities)
Round 4 (122nd overall): Lathan Ransom, S (Started his first game with Moehrig suspended. Recorded over 10 tackles and a sack. Seems like he could be a starter long term if he plays like he did against the rams).
Round 5 (140th overall): Cam Jackson, DL, (depth player, hasn’t really seen much action)
Round 5 (163rd overall): Mitchell Evans, TE (Solid depth TE who has shown a lot of big play potential. Could easily be the starter next year)
Round 6 (208th overall): Jimmy Horn Jr., WR (Has had some clutch catches and very solid runs on jet sweeps. Disappointing fumble, but the big play potential as a gadget player is absolutely there. Great value for a 6th round pick.)
From the draft, its looking like we have at least three solid starters (McMillan, Scourton, and Ransom) and certainly potential for more. I really have to applaud the team for knocking it out of the park. This is the sort of draft that builds long term success.
