Should I get a masters?

:briefcase: Career Talk :briefcase:

I currently have a BA in sociology from a prestigious 4 year, am 28 yrs old and been THROUGH ITTTT with this job market so pivoting to accounting. I’m a few classes into my classes for a bachelors in accounting, but my ego is getting in the way and I can’t help but feel frustrated that this is “just” another bachelors :( I feel like i have taken so many classes in the past 10 years of my life to not have a graduate degree

I know Masters degrees aren’t super important for accounting careers but, admittedly, the title of having a masters after all this work would be nice. Instead of just another bachelors. I may or may not pursue CPA (one of the reasons I chose accounting is because of the fact that it’s an option later on and I love that).

Once I realized the WGU masters in accounting is only like 10 more classes i was like hmm… 🤔….should I do it? lol. I could just tack it onto the end of my bachelors and get it done in like 1 term, right? But also this would be like 85% for ego and 15% for actual professional growth so idk, someone - influence me either way! 😂
