Has anyone noticed less shotgun players this past year? Have things become, harder?
This event as well as the last one I have noticed a shift, though it could all just be in my mind.
There seems to be less shotgun players, I'm talking about people that bring full size shotguns and not mosin wiith Crown short ... Which has become a annoying combo to fight against.
With 3k hours in, overwhelmingly as a shotgun main, Romero even, it just all seems ... harder now.
The meta just seems so entrenched that using something as a one shot gambler weapon like a full size Romero is a significant handicap, it was a handicap the whole time sure, but now it feels completely irrelevant.
It can work, boy I have made it work with 12 kill games, I put 8n the work when most sane people would have given up, before but God danm, when there is a trio with a mosin-dolch, cyclone with crownshort and the last guy is running a levering rifle of some sort, on stillwater, at 50m away ... what is a Romero boy to do with his pax in a random trio? And every match is near like this? For the average person, you can only have so much luck or be that damn good.
After all this time i think i am going to have to put the Romero down to be even remotely competitive, and use "my" try hard load out, being specter with sparks pistol.
Sure crown uppercut or dolch is the better play, but I can't bring myself to go that meta. So many premades I face anymore are just danm titans, ability of aim, reflexes and added communication i cannot hope to match. Where my only advantage is my now decades of tactical theory and positioning.
I think a lot of us have reached this point, you miss, you die, you hide behind that wagon after getting hit, you might get wall banged by sparks, arm shot with a Romero, 143 damage, and crazed boi with cyclone katana will quick swap to win.
So what can you do? Well if you are built to suffer like myself, if you, MUST, see the whites of their eyes in combat, to crave that sort of visceral violence, and you want to win, somtimes.
Then build your second chances as much as you can.
Becuase unless they give Romero fast fingers or speed up the Alamo, it will always be a wall that the above average person cannot overcome ... if the first shot, does not kill.
